Dr. Chockkalingam “Chock” Karuppaiah brings more than 25 years of electrochemical
experience in the energy and technology sectors. Prior to founding Vetri Labs, Chock was the Vice President of Stack Engineering at Bloom Energy, Professor at Case Western Reserve University, and Fundamentals Team Manager at Plug Power. During his tenure at Bloom, he led the product design, process development, and manufacturing scale-up of seven product generations. His technical work includes the development of polymer electrolyte fuel cells, solid oxide fuel cells, and flow batteries. Most recently, he has joined Ohmium as Chief Technology Officer where he will help scale their electrolyzer technology for the generation of green hydrogen. He has authored 25 patents in the area of electrochemical technology and devices.
